Dear Blastocystis colleagues and enthusiasts,
Even though we wanted to see you in person in the beautiful Chania next year, we have decided for everyone’s safety to convert the 3rd International Blastocystis Conference into a virtual conference. The conference will take place between 2nd to 4th of June 2021 and we will make sure that it will also be tailored in the various time zones.
The Blastocystis conferences aim to gather leading researchers in the field in order to promote and stimulate cross-disciplinary interactions, and to establish long-term international collaborations. Renowned scientists will present plenary lectures on current topics. Young investigators are especially encouraged to participate and they will be given priority to present.

Our aim is still to organize the 4th International Blastocystis Conference in Chania in 2023. But in the meantime, we are really excited to organize this virtual meeting in order to bring the Blastocystis community even closer and engage the young investigators in the field. We promise a few surprises as well during the meeting.
We are looking forward to seeing you (even virtually) in June 2021.
